The 38th Annual New New York Wine Industry Workshop, and the NY Wine and Grape Foundation Annual Seminar will take place on April 1-3 2009 at the Clarion Hotel University Hotel & Conference Center in Ithaca. Introduction to Vineyard and Winery Establishment

Details:

This one-day workshop will provide a basic overview of what it takes to establish a commercial vineyard and/or winery. Site and variety selection and preparation, early vine training and management, equipment needs and pest management will be covered. Equipment and processes needed for a start-up winery will be described. Business planning and estimated costs and returns for both vineyards and wineries will be emphasized. Supplemental information will be distributed on a CD-ROM disk.

Registration: Please preregister by FRIDAY, March 27.

Registration fee is $100, and includes lunch and a CD-ROM with workshop materials and references.
